Why is the game named Dynasty?

Because the player controls an entire family, up to approximately a dozen characters simultaneously. Each single character is not immortal - they are born, live, and die like in real life. When a character dies, it is gone, family, however, always endures, combining the life's work of all family members. Building a dynasty generation after generation is the backbone of the game.

How are Dynasty characters built?

Very straightforward, taking into account that the player should spent less time on micromanagement acting for a dozen family members. We use a skill system without limits on the number of abilities learned. Characters are allowed to learn anything until death separates them from acquired knowledge.

Is there actual difference between Men and Women in Dynasty?

Yes, same as in real life. Women are the ones who give birth; women are usually frailer than men. On the other hand, unlike real medieval times our world is more 'feministic". Title can be inherited by both sexes and in marriage a groom can join bride's clan as easy as an opposite.

Will there be different races in Dynasty?

There will be no non-human races. We are tired from "Elves can use magic while trolls fight with throwing axes". In our opinion it falls short of making a real difference. The world of Dynasty is already sophisticated and we do not need one more factor to diversify a player's experience.

As for human races we do have them and you choose initial appearance of your family members. That is quite obvious for multi-language game intended for a worldwide audience. But it is purely role-playing feature

What can a character do?

Anything, Dynasty does not feature a class system that places strict limitations on characters' abilities. Characters become what they are by advancing through society.

The main indication of a character's power is the weight they carry in the game's social structure. Building a career does not mean performing repetitive tasks to advance skill ratings like in other games, but rather interacting with other players to achieve social status that will allow one to wield power over others.
